Community Mural Collaboration
This community-driven mural brought together local voices, shared values, and collaborative artistry. I was honored to serve on the design team, conceptualizing and designing the two right-side panels pictured below.
The upper section celebrates the beauty, vibrancy, and movement of the local landscape and music. For the lower section, inspired by the fluid watercolor style of legendary Native American artist Oscar Howe (whose I got familiar with his style after a peer from that city brought it to my attention that your watercolor swirling lines remind her of this artist), we dedicated my design as a tribute to his and a few more local native American artist's legacy.
Working alongside wonderful friends and fellow artists like Carolina Pineda and Rebecca Froehlich this piece reflects the collective power of community art—where every individual vision comes together to tell a larger story.
